studied in this thesis. The solutions for the deflection and stress resultants are
obtained by Navier method, expressed in terms of load coefficients. A
MATLAB code is developed for the analysis of a plate under Uniformly
Distributed Load, Triangular Load, Sinusoidal Load, Patch Load and
Concentrated Load. The results generated are visualized in MATLAB and
studied for convergence. Navier method is compared with a Levy type
analytical method. The values of deflection and stress resultants obtained from
the two methods are found to be matching. A parametric study for Uniformly
